We are really proud to share that Sapphire has been named Cyber Security Business of the Year at the My Local Awards. Winning this in our 30th anniversary year makes it even more special, and it is something the whole team is incredibly proud of.
At Sapphire, we help organisations protect what matters most. As a UK-based cyber security company, we deliver managed services, consultancy, and IT and OT security solutions that help our customers reduce risk and stay resilient in a constantly changing threat landscape.
We were founded in 1996 with a simple goal. To provide trusted, expert support and build long term partnerships that stand the test of time. That focus is still at the heart of everything we do today.
We have been part of the North East community for 30 years, which makes this recognition even more meaningful. With our new office in Newcastle, alongside our presence in Glasgow and across the UK, we are proud to stay close to our customers and continue supporting regional growth.
Over the years, we have grown alongside our customers. We have expanded our services and grown a 24/7/365 UK-based Security Operations Centre (SOC) in Scotland, delivering expert threat detection, monitoring, and response around the clock, and continued to invest in our people and technology. One of the things we are most proud of is the relationships we have built. Many of our customers have worked with us for years, and in some cases decades, and they see us as a true extension of their team.
Of course, it has not been without challenges. The cyber threat landscape never stands still, and neither can we. We have continued to evolve by investing in innovation, automation, and threat intelligence, as well as developing talent from within. In an industry where skills are in high demand, growing and supporting our own people has been key.
Being part of our local community also matters a lot to us. We work closely with local organisations and support initiatives like CyberFirst, apprenticeships, and internships. We are also proud to host the National Information Security Conference (NISC), bringing people together to share knowledge and strengthen the wider cyber community.
When we heard we had won, we were absolutely delighted. It is a brilliant recognition of the effort and dedication of our team, and even more rewarding knowing it was voted for by our customers. That level of trust means everything to us.
This award reflects the relationships we have built and the role we play in helping organisations stay secure. It is a shared success, and we would like to say a big thank you to our team, our customers, our partners, and our investors for their continued support.
As we look ahead, we are excited about what comes next. We will continue to invest in our services, strengthen our IT and OT capabilities, and support more organisations across the UK. Most importantly, we will keep focusing on what matters most. Supporting our customers and helping them stay secure and resilient.
Thank you to everyone who has been part of our journey so far.
