That was the week that was… from the modernity of AI to the legacy of OT.

After attending the largest CPX Europe to date, I wanted to share some key takeaways, highlights, and personal reflections.

AI Takes Centre Stage

There’s always a buzz of anticipation on the first morning of CPX as people gather for the keynote sessions, and this year was no exception. Big announcements were expected – and Check Point certainly delivered.

The standout? AI-driven enhancements to firewall management. Check Point introduced a new Policy Audit feature designed to make life easier for firewall admins. Imagine having a tool that not only reviews firewall policies but also analyses rules and objects, identifying unused elements with a single click. Yes, policy hit counts have been around for a while, but this takes it to another level by automating the process like never before.

Another major announcement was Infinity External Risk Management. This comprehensive solution continuously scans for cyber risks before they escalate into actual incidents. With a mix of threat intelligence, dark web monitoring, external attack surface management, digital risk protection, and supply chain intelligence, this marks a bold step forward for Check Point in proactive cyber security.

Taking the Stage: Sapphire & Check Point’s Joint OT Offering

The first afternoon brought an exciting moment for me personally – taking to the stage to present on Operational Technology (OT) security and Sapphire’s partnership with Check Point.

Our session focused on the legacy challenges of OT security and how our collaboration with Quantum IoT Protect transforms how organisations discover, monitor, and protect OT assets. From initial vulnerability intelligence to segmentation, deep packet inspection, and real-time threat detection, we showcased how this partnership is designed to provide end-to-end security for industrial environments.

The engagement from the audience was fantastic, with a solid Q&A session that sparked further discussions during the evening networking event in the expo hall.

The Must-See Keynote: Dr. Dorit Dor

Day two continued with more insightful keynotes, but one that should never be missed is the session by Dr. Dorit Dor—an absolute legend in the cyber security space. She always brings sharp insights and visionary thinking that make her sessions a highlight of any CPX event.

Looking Ahead to CPX 2026

Would I go to another CPX next year? Absolutely!

CPX is more than just an event – it’s a chance to connect with long-time industry peers, forge new partnerships, and stay ahead of the curve in cyber security. With AI-powered security evolving fast and OT security gaining the focus it deserves, CPX 2026 can’t come soon enough!
