
John Morrison, Managing Director
In 1996, John set up Sapphire. His vast experience in assisting organisations deal with major security projects provides John with an excellent all round portfolio and as a result he is a recognised security expert and sits on a number of advisory panels. Over the years, John has participated in several live radio interviews discussing relevant information security issues and has a number of press articles to his name including the Financial Times and Computing magazine.
John’s areas of expertise include Secure Flexible Working, Data Leakage, End Point Security, Identity and Access Management, ISO27001, Forensics and Information Assurance Strategy.
David Horn, Sales Director
David is a recognised speaker on computer forensics and has contributed to two qualifications on this subject including a foundation degree and a PGCE, and often provides lectures to students on this subject.
David also speaks at many industry events and seminars and has previously addressed the Intellect Security & Privacy Group in London, CIPFA and the Housing Association Internal Auditors Forum.
This is in addition to being heavily involved in the launch of 4ExecProtect, a unique regulatory insurance and member services product.
Vernon Poole, Head of Business Consultancy
Vernon is a CIPFA and CISM qualified. Vernon is also a founder member of the UK & International 27001 User Groups and a recognised adviser to senior management on the importance of ‘Information Assurance’.
This work lead Vernon to become a representative for the IT Governance Institute where Vernon is recognised as one of the thought leaders on Information Governance. He now sits on ISACA’s Information Security Management Committee as the global ISO 27000 representative and recently gained the CGEIT (Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT) certification.
Vernon covers a wide range of topics, from Corporate Governance, ISO27002, Global ISM Models & Board Level Assurance.
Lisa Maynard, Professional Services Manager
Lisa has worked in the security arena since 1998. Originally managing and designing with a team of programmers, Lisa has since moved into the role of Professional Services Manager and currently manages Sapphire’s technical consultancy team.
Over the years, Lisa has managed some of Sapphire’s largest projects within the MOD and central Government departments. Her areas of expertise include securing remote workers, network and infrastructure security and secure web solutions.
Lisa has featured in a number of articles and recently was invited, as an industry mentor, to help produce a DVD promoting women’s roles within IT security.
