Overview – Computer Forensics in Further
Education
Computer Forensics is the scientific examination and analysis of data which
has been seized and imaged from computer storage media such as hard discs,
mobile phones or USB sticks for the purposes of solving cyber crimes.
Sapphire has launched a new learning programme with Northumbria University. The two organisations have designed an agenda to be utilised within the universities Post Graduate Certificate in Computer Forensics.
Northumbria has been working with Sapphire to take sections of its syllabus and combine this with Sapphires existing agenda. Sapphire’s contribution will focus largely on the role Computer Forensics plays in deterring, detecting and solving computer crime and crimes using computers.
