Who needs it?
Anyone who owns sensitive data can protect it using encryption. ‘Sensitive’ data is any information that could be accessed by an unauthorised person and used, either by itself or in combination with other items, to the detriment of its owner. This could include any information about customers, business partners, patients, citizens, employees, contractors, products, services or corporate information such as financial details.
